Please reccomend a speaker....

Dear Friends,

I am Maha from India. Im Zero in electronics...

I have a 20W amplifier in my home. What would be the best value of SPEAKER that I can use for this amplifier?

Hi Maha, we will need more details. Like the size of your room, how loud you listen, the type of music you listen to, the type of amp. Were you looking to DIY or buy?

I have the amplifier of 20Watts. My room is very small of 10X10 feet (u see... im only 5.3" :mrgreen:

) ; at times I hear with loud sound and basically im a lover of all kinds of music...
melodies.. fast beat...

I want u to recommend a speaker for this amplifier... I don't want this amplifier to go waste... and also pls provide me the equation... how u choose a speaker for the amplifer....

So were you looking to buy a finished speakers or build enclosures? What is your budget and what is the model of the amp? Is is class-A, tube ...

i think i can build...
its ClassA type..

and 20W only

This sounds like the need for a reasonble efficient 2-way bookshelf or a fullrange horn loaded or TL cab.

If you just "think" you can build, go with a 2-way bookshelf.

Though a fullrange in a "Fonken" enclosure is a pretty spectacular speaker:
