Hi all,
New here at DYIaudio, my name is Nimrod and I am From Israel.
I am new to the electorincs design.
I want to make LM3886 amp and JFET phono at the following configuration:

Is it possible? do I need more components?

Hi - yes, that will work as you have shown. What are you using as a power supply for the chipamps? You could also replace the batteries with a regulator and take power for the phono preamp from the chipamp. But batteries are a good choice for a phono stage.

Funny enough laptop switch mode chargers are rated at 150W. You made need two for the differential PS but its possible. Not a way I would normally go but possible. Would believe my mates $13K CD playerDAC has an internal SMPS.

SMPS are OK for class-A, but fall on their faces with high power AB designs. Ask JVC ;)

Your chipamp will need a robust (high current) balanced (linear) supply. The phono amp needs a single sided supply at <25mA. For the RIAA I would suggest using a LM317 or a 7824 to get a regulated single sided supply from the chipamp PS. While batteries are also a good choice, the only drawback is that they are expensive in the long run.

What are you doing for the LM3886 supply?
