As is my ZCA. Mine does need a little work but I should try it with my high efficiency Beymas.

Hi All
I want to start with this Project too now. You all made me curious.

I have a 24V torroid transformer which is 35V when rectified.
Do you think this is too much for the MCA?

regards
Stefan

Should be better with 28 VDC PSU output like Krammer suggest to me... running more stable.

Original prototype and ZCA used 24V. It may be too high for predictable results.

thanks

connected with my ZCA Project we have spoken about a CLCRC filtering.
I think i will do this here to reduce the V as well as to smooth down the ripple.

Matt has recommended a 8 Ohm resistor to devide the voltage. I think i will play a bit with the values.

regards
Stefan

Edit: Kramme has explained everything I have to know on page 14, thanks for that :)

Dear all
I have set up a test curcuit CLCRC with 4,1 ohm as R and 15ohm load and find the output voltage at 24,4 V at 1,6 A now.

Looks good to me :)

Stefan

About internal wiring gauge cabling my MCA.
My PSU as 15 AWG, internal input as 24 AWG and loudespeakers are 15 AWG.(100ft length )
And internal output? should be better 24 or 15 AWG?

TIA

It should need to be too heavy because the power developed is only low.

Ok, my MCA is making progress, I am reasonable satisfied with the PSU:

The result is looking like less than 5mV hum:

(I have focused the ray, it shows some high frequency noise which came with increasing the caps from 2200 to 9400 uF per section)

I though I need bigger/more capacities but the Output looks not too bad.
What do you think, should I try bigger caps or not?

best regards
Stefan
