Hmm, I'll have a look. I quite fancy building one from the ground up, I fancy a challenge, can you tell? THe MP3 player project is still on the cards too. :D

You are probably the most prolific builder I have ever seen on this or other forums. I cant keep up. I am a stay at home dad.. and I cant keep up. You are always building something. :)

I've got lots on the cards, and loads of ideas. Not as many on the go as I would like though. I think that spending the last 6 years working in electronics production, mainly building Audio Mixing Desks I've developed a bit of a knack for building things. :S

I sometimes have a quiet spell at work, so I work on my home projects there. If there's a week at work when there are no repairs coming in from customers, I can get a lot done. I've managed to do a component inventory this week...too much time on my hands I think....

Kind regards, John.

A Circlotron looks like a very interesting project to build. I've never built an amplifier with any form of FET, so this could be a good starting point.

Kind regards, John.

Glad you find it interesting John. Lots of good stuff on Nelson's site.

I find most of the interesting projects on this site I have to confess. I didn't find the JLH on here but I can't stress enough how good it is for such a simple amplifier. The Circlotron might surprise me a lot too. I'd prefer to use my JLH than a Naim NAP, and that's saying something!!! :)

I really like the principle of this. When I have the time, I'm going to have a go at building one. I may have to make a few accidental cuts though and end up with a jewelery box for my fiancee though... ;-)
