yep, you can continue changing the components again and again, it kills time and finally also you're wallet ...and i think the store where you buy components are very glad to sell you even more. alternatively you could try the troubleshooting guide i have given you, it's you're decission.

also measure resistors ...do they have the value as stated. i've seen people thinking they've got a 2200 ohm resistor in the hand, but instead it's was a low tolerance 22 ohm. i never believe until i've measured ( control check )

Well my multimeter doesn't have a diode testing, only a hfe with pnp and npn testing :)

you can't measure hfe on a mosfet ...only on a bjt transistor.

instead you can do a open/close test of the mosfet. insert a 12 v lamp in series from + battery to drain. connect source to ground. then you open the mosfet by touching gate pin 1 and drain pin 2, it should light up. shut of the lamp again, by touching gate pin 1 and source pin 3.

nope, don't measure in ohm ...we need diode test

i wonder if you're joking with me, don't tell me you're some kind of troll, sent from diyaudio.com, with only one purpose to make this thread even longer :lildevil:
okay, you say that you've got a multimeter which can measure hfe, volt and ohm but doesn't have a diode test (?) show me you're multimeter ( picture please ), it can't be true. i've never seen a multimeter with hfe test circuit build in, which not has a diode tester also.

funny thing is that this one you've got, actually has an inbuilt diode test circuit because it's needed for finding out the hfe result. but i guess this manufactor SYG want to sell other multimeters, so they've leaved this function out. anyway it seems to have some other nice functions as capacitance, frequency, temperature, OHM, VAC, VDC, DCA, ACA, aso. so it's nice in other applications. keep it.

by the way 'SYG' meens 'ill' or 'sick' in danish 8-)
